A speed and distance monitoring instrument with overspeed alarm The Speed & Distance 200 from RDS is a cost effective, user-friendly speed and distance measuring instrument that alarms when the vehicle travels in excess of site speed restrictions increasing vehicle safety.

The input signal is taken from a magnetic sensor, normally on the nondriven (i.e. front wheel) or transmission shaft. An override switch enables the travelling distance to be excluded automatically from the distance total. Distance travelled at overspeed is logged in the following bands: Band 1: Set limit to +5% Band 2: Set limit to +5% to +20% Band 3: Set limit to +20% to +50% Band 4: Set limit to +50% and over.
