Overview: The document describes the Rapid 10 Series
granulator, a specialized machine for recycling hard injection moulding waste. It is designed to operate quietly and efficiently, making it ideal for grinding hard, thick-walled, and brittle injection moulding sprues and rejects.
Specifications: The granulator operates at a low speed of 25 rpm, utilizing circular toughened cutting wheels to cut through hard and abrasive materials. It features a cutterhouse with rotating cutters and fixed blades, eliminating the need for a perforated screen. The granule size is uniform at 5 mm.
Models and Features: Three models are available, differentiated by cutterhouse width and other specifications:
- Model 1022: Cutterhouse opening of 223x241 mm, 1 crusher blade, standard motor of 0.75 kW, and throughput up to 10 kg/h.
- Model 1034: Cutterhouse opening of 343x241 mm, 2 crusher blades, standard motor of 1.8 kW, and throughput up to 15 kg/h.
- Model 1046: Cutterhouse opening of 464x241 mm, 3 crusher blades, standard motor of 1.8 kW, and throughput up to 20 kg/h.
All models feature a built-in crusher with rotating hooks to break up plastic waste, which is then cut into uniform granules by the cutting wheels.
Design and Maintenance: The granulator is designed for easy access and maintenance. It can be opened without tools, allowing for rapid cleaning and maintenance. The cutterhouse is divided into a top and bottom half, with the top part hinged for easy access.
Performance and Benefits: The low-speed operation minimizes noise, frictional heat, and wear and tear, resulting in high-quality regrind suitable for direct recycling into injection moulding machines. The compact design makes it suitable for beside-the-press applications, with options for manual or automatic feeding.
