NeutronRAE II

Product catalog summary
Overview: The NeutronRAE II by RAE Systems is a personal radiation detector designed for rapid detection of gamma and neutron sources. It is highly sensitive, providing alerts well before exposure to harmful levels. The device features audible, visual, and vibration alarms, which can be individually disabled, and is water-resistant for reliable use in wet environments.
Key Features:
  • Detects neutrons from weapons-grade Plutonium (239Pu).
  • Utilizes sensitive CsI and LiI scintillators for fast response.
  • Provides continuous digital dose rate readout for gamma radiation in µR/h or µSv/h, and counts per second (cps) for neutron radiation.
  • IP-67 rated for water immersion and easy decontamination.
  • Simple operation with two keys and intuitive programming.
  • Large datalogging capacity of 10,000 points.
Applications: The NeutronRAE II is suitable for first responders, customs and border patrols, security officers in nuclear facilities, military, government agencies, HazMat teams, and police and fire departments.

NeutronRAE II-1

Personal Radiation Detector RAE Systems NeutronRAE II is a personal radiation detector that provides rapid detection of both gamma and neutron sources. The NeutronRAE I I's high sensitivity can alert users to the presence of a radiation threat well before they might be exposed to health-threatening levels. The NeutronRAE II features a loud audible alarm, bright flashing LEDs, and a vibration alarm. Each alarm can be disabled separately. NeutronRAE I I's water-resistant design makes for reliable operation in wet environments and for easy decontamination. • Quick detection of radiological threats • Alerts the wearer with a loud audible buzzer, bright flashing LEDs, and a built-in vibration alarm • Water resistant/immersible • Dose accumulator tracks total dose exposure from gamma radiation compliance with IEEE ANSI N42.32 • Detects neutrons from weapons-grade • Sensitive Csl and Lil scintillators for excellent search capability and fast response • Continuous digital dose rate readout in uR/h or uSv/h for gamma radiation, and counts per second (cps) for neutron radiation • Continuously accumulated total dose readout • IP-67, immersible in water for easy • Two operation keys, simple intuitive • Continuous datalogging with a large- • Alerts first responders to radioactive threats • Customs and border patrols • Security officers in nuclear power facilities, banks, government laboratories, medical facilities • Government agencies • HazMat teams • Police and fire departments A First Responder uses the RAE Systems NeutronRAE II for audible and flashing alerts about the presence of a radiation threat and tracking of total dose exposure from gamma radiation.
