PMV 50 PLUS

Product catalog summary
Area of Use – Sewage Treatment Plants
Analysis of Dry Mass Content of Waste Water Sludge
The PMV 50 PLUS microwave moisture analyzer is a modern tool used in both laboratories and during the technological process for the rapid determination of dry residue in wastewater sludge. It offers speed and accuracy for testing samples obtained through various methods such as centrifugation or pressing in sewage treatment plants. The analysis duration is notably short, taking only a few minutes, which allows for efficient control over technological processes.
Main Features
  • Quick analysis without the need for costly and time-consuming calibration.
  • Reliable and accurate analysis, unaffected by sample consistency or composition.
  • Intuitive touch screen interface suitable for operators of all experience levels.
  • Volumetric drying for ultra-short drying duration.
  • Predefined drying programs.
  • Advanced process visualization and documentation with reports, graphs, and statistics.
Comparison of Methods
The determination of dry residue in wastewater sludge was conducted at the Municipal Waste Water Treatment Plant in Radom using both a reference method and the PMV 50 PLUS microwave radiation method. The reference method involves conventional heating at 105°C, while the PMV 50 PLUS uses microwave radiation interacting with water dipole particles in the sample. This can result in slight differences in water content results for the same sample.

PMV 50 PLUS-2

Determination of dry residue in waste water sludge was carried out in the Municipal Waste Water Treatment Plant in Radom using a reference method and a microwave radiation method (PMV 50 PLUS). When it comes to the reference method, the sample is heated convectionally in temperature of 105oC, wheras in the case of PMV 50 PLUS moisture analyzer method there is an interaction of the microwave radiation with dipole particles (water) existing in the sample structure. In consequence there might be noted slight differences between the obtained water content results of the same sample. Reference method...
