Type Approval: The BiM1-173 module complies with European harmonized standards for specific frequency bands and applications, including general, industrial, and medical uses.
Requirements for Conformance to ETSI EN 300 220-3:- Transmitted ERP Limits: The effective radiated power (ERP) must not exceed 1mW (0dBm) for category (a) or 10mW (+10dBm) for categories (b), (c), and (d). Category (a) equipment requires a 10dB attenuator between the RF output pin and the antenna.
- Antenna System: Any antenna system can be used as long as the ERP limit is not exceeded. Antennas with ERP gain, such as yagis, are not allowed.
- Module Specifications: The module must not be modified or used outside its specification limits.
- Data Transmission: Only digital or digitized data transmission is allowed. Speech and music are prohibited.
- Non-compliance with these conditions will invalidate type approval.
