Product catalog summary
Introduction
The document details the NSX and BPX series multipin rack and panel connectors used in high-performance aeronautical equipment. These connectors comply with ARINC 600 and Boeing S280W551 specifications, offering high contact density, various contact types, and multiple shell polarization options for secure equipment mating. They feature low mating forces and EMI/RFI shielding capabilities.
NSX Series Overview
The NSX series includes versions for rear and front removable contacts, with environmental and non-environmental options, primarily used in commercial airplane avionics bays.
Technical Characteristics
  • Materials: Aluminum alloy shells with chromatation or nickel plating; copper alloy contacts with gold over nickel plating.
  • Electrical: Contact sizes range from 22 to 8, with varying wire sizes and maximum current ratings.
  • Mechanical & Environmental: Temperature range from -65°C to +125°C, durability of 500 mating cycles, and resistance to various environmental conditions.
EMI/RFI Performance
NSX connectors provide EMI/RFI protection through shell-to-shell conductivity and grounding features, safeguarding electronic systems from interference.
Product Overview
The NSX series includes components like polarization keys and retention plates for secure connections.
Ordering Information

EMI/RFI Performances EMI/RFI acts directly on electronics systems whether by conduction through the input or input cables or by induction (coupling). Electronics equipment are particularly vulnerable to interferences and can be disturbed or damaged by them. The serious consequences which may result, make it essential to protect such installations. The first stage in protection is to install the equipment in a metal surrounding (FARADAY cage) which protects it from some of the interferences; particularly those occurring by induction. As to meet these requirements RADIALL offers plug connectors...
