Overview The ClassicBoard family provides dependable, cost-effective serial expansion with an easy-to-install multiport serial card. It offers PCI bus support, is available in four- and eight-port RS-232 versions, and delivers throughput of up to 460.8 Kbps. Every signal is safeguarded by built-in surge protection, ensuring that electrical interference, power surges or brown-outs do not interfere with the system operation. ClassicBoard is best suited to applications where the CPU is able to devote some resources to computations or to real-time applications that require short latency time intervals.
