DRAWDOWN / WATER LEVEL METER

Product catalog summary
Introduction
The document introduces the MP30 Drawdown/Water Level Meter, a device designed for low-flow sampling in environmental monitoring. It emphasizes the automatic drawdown control feature that prevents excessive purging of monitoring wells.

Specifications
The MP30 is available with a 150 or 300-foot chemical-resistant polyethylene-coated tape. It features a compact 5/8” diameter probe suitable for narrow well casings. The device dimensions are 14"x10.5"x8" and it weighs 7 lbs with a 150’ tape and 9 lbs with a 300’ tape. It operates on a 9-volt battery with a life of 30-40 hours and functions within a temperature range of -40 to 185°F.

Procedures
For drawdown control, the MP30 is switched to MicroPurge mode and connected to a controller. The probe is lowered to the maximum drawdown point. If the water level reaches this point, the device signals the controller to halt pumping until recovery. In standard water level mode, the probe activates a light and buzzer upon water contact.

Advantages
The MP30 offers automatic drawdown control, reducing the risk of over-purging and ensuring sample integrity. It provides accurate groundwater level measurements with a precision of 1/100th ft. The device is equipped with a premium, stretch-resistant tape for consistent measurements.

Additional Features
The MP30 includes a connecting cable, well hanger, reel brake, and an optional carry bag. It is compatible with MP10 or MP15 controllers for continuous well level control during sampling.

Conclusion
The MP30 Drawdown/Water Level Meter is a reliable tool for environmental monitoring, offering both drawdown control and accurate water level measurement, enhancing the efficiency and reliability of low-flow sampling processes.

DRAWDOWN / WATER LEVEL METER-1

DRAWDOWN / WATER LEVEL METER PATENT PENDING Links to controller to prevent excessive drawdown during purging and sampling. Drawdown control is now automatic with new low-flow water level meter imiting drawdown is one of the basics of MicroPurge® low-flow sampling. The MP30 Drawdown/Water Level Meter provides a new, simpler way to assure drawdown control. The MP30 performs as a drawdown sensor and control when connected to the MicroPurge basics controllers, and as a high quality water level meter. The MP30 switches between both modes. For drawdown control the meter is turned to MicroPurge mode and the probe is lowered to the point of maximum drawdown. If purging lowers the water level to the selected point, a light and buzzer on the MP30 meter are activated and the controller is signaled to enter a standby mode until the water level rises again. A separate light indicates probe submergence in both modes. MicroPurge® basicsTM MP30 Drawdown Meter Advantages • Provides unique MicroPurge Automatic Drawdown Control. Cable link to basics controller puts pumping on standby mode until the well recovers — automatically! • MicroPurge drawdown mode includes light and buzzer indicators to alert sampling personnel when the selected maximum drawdown point has been reached. • Standard water level mode includes conventional probe submergence light and buzzer indicators. • Available with 150 or 300 foot (46 or 91 meter) chemical resistant polyethylenecoated tape. • Compact 5/8” (16 mm) diameter probe fits narrow or crowded well casings. DRAWDOWN / WATER LEVEL METER-2

MICROPURGE® basicsTM MP30 DRAWDOWN / WATER LEVEL METER Automatic protection against excessive purging The MP30 Drawdown/Water Level Meter is unique. With its link to the basics Controller for automatic drawdown control, you’ll never have to worry about overpurging a monitoring well again. By constantly keeping track of well level for you, the MP30 removes one of the variables that can make low-flow sampling a challenge. Even if distractions occur, you’ll have the confidence of knowing that the well will not be pumped down to excessive drawdown levels that could compromise your sample integrity....
