The WI500 is a passive piezoelectric acoustic emission (AE) sensor with an integrated wideband preamplifier. It is designed to deliver a flat frequency response across its entire frequency bandwidth, making it ideal for capturing acoustic emission signals.
Applications
The sensor is particularly suitable for laboratory studies of surface displacement in structures due to various AE modes. It is also applicable in frequency analysis and composites research. The sensor can be easily mounted using a magnetic hold-down.
