The GI80 is a passive piezoelectric acoustic emission (AE) sensor equipped with an integrated 40dB28V preamplifier. It operates within a frequency range of 20kHz to 180kHz, making it ideal for detecting low-frequency acoustic emission signals.
Applications
The sensor's low-frequency response is suitable for monitoring the condition of large structures such as concrete and steel, as well as geological formations. It is also applicable for monitoring leakage and corrosion in storage tanks or valves and detecting partial discharge.
