Case Study A national postal service at its peak had 22,000 sites. Many sites had old Scantronic panels fitted with ID node expanders that later became obsolete. This meant that in the event of a fault the panels were unserviceable so onsite protection was compromised.

Pyronix product adopted After a system failure the time taken to carry out a site survey, plan and execute a new intruder alarm installation took many weeks to arrange and complete. This left the site, its assets and importantly its staff vulnerable to attack. The internal Security Innovation Team embarked on an exercise to look at mitigating risk and man guarding costs. A rapid deployment system was developed and was tested using different brands of intruder systems.
