Product catalog summary
Overview
The COB-395 is a high-power LED light source designed for applications such as fluorescence, spectroscopy, and general fiber illumination. It features a compact, user-friendly design with silent operation, offering peak wavelengths from UV to NIR.

Specifications
  • Electrical Characteristics: Operates with an AC/DC adapter (100-240V, 50-60Hz). Input voltage ranges from 10-18V with a maximum current of 1A. The pulsed mode requires a 0-5V input signal.
  • Optical Characteristics: The output connector is SMA 905/FC with a peak wavelength of 395 nm and a spectral range FWHM of 16 nm. Typical optical power output is 11.0 mW.
  • Other Characteristics: Operates in temperatures from 0-50 ºC with humidity below 80% HR. The equipment surface temperature is 40 ºC with a stabilization time of 25 minutes. Dimensions are 10.5 x 11.5 x 8 cm, weighing 500 g.

Operation Modes
The device can operate in continuous (ON) or pulsed modes. The intensity in ON mode is adjustable between 20% and 100%. In pulsed mode, intensity is controlled via a PWM signal, adjustable between 0% and 100% by changing the duty cycle. Recommended PWM frequency is 500 Hz, but it supports up to 100 kHz.

Safety Notes
  • Do not remove or modify safety devices; this voids the warranty and creates safety risks.
  • Only qualified personnel should service the unit.
  • Inspect the unit and power supply before first use.
  • Do not use if damaged; contact the dealer for repairs.
  • Ensure proper ventilation during operation to prevent overheating.
  • Avoid direct eye exposure to optical radiation.

COB-395-1

COB-395 Fiber coupled LED Light Source The COB series comprises high power LED light sources with peak wavelengths that range from UV to NIR. They are co nceived as user friendly, compact and silent tools, being ideal for fluorescence, spectroscopy and general fiber illumination applications. These light sources have been designed to obtain a high coupli ng efficiency to optical fiber through a selectable SMA/FC connector. In addition, they can be operated either in continuous (CW) or pulsed modes. Operation Modes Connect a proper power source (included with the light source) prior to operation. The light source includes two controls on the front. The MODE switch on the right sets the operation mode between ON (left), OFF (centre) and PULSED (right). The left knob controls the intensity in ON mode (switch on the left position). The intensity can be adjusted between 20% (fully counter-clockwise) and 100% (fully clockwise) of maximum intensity. In PULSED mode (switch on the right position), the intensity can be controlled using a PWM (pulse width modulation) signal through the PWM input connector...
