ISO CLEANLINESS CODES The most widely used method for representing fluid cleanliness is the International Standards Organization (ISO) Code Level. Purolator generates and reports the code level of contaminant in accordance with ISO 4406, “Solid Contamination Level Code.” The resultant cleanliness code is a three-code number.
