Specifications
The metal separator, Type: Compact – Digital2, is designed to be maintenance-free with various outlet dimensions available. All devices are mechanically compatible and feature a compact design suitable for ponding bulk material.

Applications
These separators are used in the plastics and chemical industries. They separate metal using compressed air, blowing metallic pieces out without mechanically stressed parts. The compact design with an installation height of 225 mm makes it suitable for restricted spaces or retrofitting.

Function
The separator's upper part contains a sensor coil. When metal passes through, the signal is processed by electronics, which then trigger the valves to open, allowing metal to be blown out by an air stream. The absence of movable parts ensures no abrasion and no maintenance is required.

Technical Data
Ordering code: Digital2 Compact 25 – Compact 70. The separator features a height of 225 mm, with sensor apertures of 19 mm, 45 mm, and 65 mm for different models. The material-ejection unit and base frame are made of aluminum, with a payload capacity of 150 kg and a weight of approximately 14 kg.

Conditions of Use
Storage temperature ranges from -10 to 60°C, and operating temperature from 0 to 60°C. It has a protection class of IP50. Pneumatic connection requires 4–6 bar, filtered, water- and oil-free, with a self-sealing coupling fitting NW 7.2. The throughput varies from 450 l/h to 5,400 l/h depending on the model.

Sensitivity
Sensitivity varies by model and material type (FE: Ferrous, SS: Stainless steel), with values ranging from 0.2 to 1.0. Sensitivity can be affected by environmental conditions and vibrations.

Pneumatic guard available as an option. Other materials for protection tubes include glass, antistatic, and wear-resistant options.
