Designed for simplifie! maintenance, the pump may be quickly disassembled without the need to break piping connections. The G2 is designed for continuous duty use and can handle a wide variety of applications ranging from vlscous to very thin dear, non-abrasive fluids. Pump housings are investrnent cast in a variety of corrosion r魩sistant metailurgies, with adquate wall thicknesses for hytiro testing. Housings are finish machined on prcision CNC equipment. Metalltc and norvmetallic gears are machine generated. A variety of materials are available, and an exisling pump can be quickly converted to satisfy diff驩rent service conditions* Combination metallic and non-metallic gear sets allow the pump to handle low vlscosity and norvlubricatfng flulds at standard motor speeds. This capabillty provides reduced noise levels and limintes the need for larger pumps operaling at reduced speeds. AH gear materials are non-sparklng for use with hazardous flulds. Pumps do not require periodic lubrication. since the pumped fluld provWes the necessary lubrtcation and cooilng. In addition to reducing maintenance, this feature 颩limintes the posslbiltty of contamination of the pumped fluid. Mechanical seals are available for the rnost dernanding applications. Single internai and double seals provide opration to 175 psi. Single external seals provide limited service to 50 psi. Two stuffing box designs are also offered. Because they are expressly designed for chemical service* ECO gear pumps do not include int⩩grai/buitt^in by-pass or pressure relief valves. Designs with thse internai valves can cause heat build-up in the pumped fluid, resulting in accelerated corrosion rates, possible vapor binding or even pump seizure.
