It is the obvious choice for your cover glass solution when impact resistance is essential to your application. Polycarbonate is typically used in displays in harsh environments. Due to its impact resistance, polycarbonate is often chosen for outdoor information boards and passenger information systems in mass transportation vehicles, bus- and train stations, and airplanes. The material is easily machined, cut, and formed. EMI-shielding mesh, silk screen printing, and coatings work great with our polycarbonate solutions. As standard, our polycarbonate comes as a transparent material, but we also offer customized tinted polycarbonate optimized for LED applications. With this, we can add contrast enhancements and customer-specific color designs to the display. Polycarbonate is available in several grades of flammability ratings.
