This is the basic tenet of all ProSys samplers. The ProSys Auger Powder Sampler is designed to take a representative sample from within a drop-chute, silo, hopper or drier. The Auger Powder Sampler Extracts a representative powder sample from packoff booths, drop chutes and hoppers. Operation – Automatic Version • • • • • • • Ensure that a bottle is fitted to the sampler before commencing. Run the auger in reverse to clean the sampler of any powder. Now run the auger in a forward direction. This brings the powder towards the sampling point. Sample enters the sampling bottle. Stop the auger. Run in reverse to ensure that any non-sampled powder is removed from the sampler prior to shutting down. Remove the bottle with the sample and replace with an empty bottle. All contact parts are 316L s.s. / PTFE Maintenance is to be carried out as described so that the equipment can run in a trouble free and safe manner. Air motor can be run in forward and reverse Maintenance is only to be carried out by qualified personnel and in accordance with the safety protection requirements and the instructions of the authorised safety manager. Cleaning times are product dependant. Never clean with oxygen or compressed air. Danger of explosion!
