Non-slip Inserts and Profiles L29 PROFILE WITH MINERAL OUTDOOR Description PASSAGE has designed L29 aluminium angle profile with an insert of extra high grip mineral granules. Its right angled shape matches the stair nosing perfectly. The embedded methacrylate resin/mineral granule complex inserted in a width of 20 mm ensures safe footsteps on stairs, inclined walkways, ramps, wood decking, and other infrastructures. Very high wear and tear resistance, frostproof product, withstands salt air and temperature variations. Stairs must be used in secure by visually impaired people. The stairs nosing should be visually contrasted from the rest of the stairs, be non-slip and not to present any excessive overflow compared with the riser. Characteristics Profiles are not sold pre-drilled. Material: 6060t5 anodised aluminium x 20 micron thickness with embedded mineral insert of methacrylic resin and 0.6/1.25 marble granules. Non slip performance : Coefficient of friction measured by SRT pendulum : 102 dry and 87 under water per standard NF EN 14231, giving an S5 rating, which corresponds to the maximum category for walking surface coatings. Recommendation : Drill the section using a 4.5mm HSS drill bit. Fit with stainless steel countersunk screws 3.5mm diameter x length 20–25mm at 20cm spacings.
