Introduction
Estrella, a Swedish crisps manufacturer, faced challenges in handling packaging rolls in a tight production environment. The rolls, weighing 35 kg and measuring 400-470 mm in length, needed to be efficiently loaded onto packaging machines with limited space.

Challenge
The primary challenge was to refill packaging machines safely and ergonomically in a constrained space. The rolls had to be maneuvered onto axles mounted at varying heights (300-1400 mm) with narrow surrounding spaces.

Solution
Estrella invested in a Lift&Drive 130P equipped with a customized Squeeze&Turn mechanism. This solution allowed for precise handling of the rolls, enabling them to be picked from pallets, rotated 90 degrees, and inserted into the machine's narrow refill slots. The compact design and stepless control of the Lift&Drive facilitated maneuverability in tight spaces.
