Warning Not observing these safety instructions may result in danger to life and health of operator or third parties! • OBSERVE the following safety instructions. • ONLY authorized personnel may operate the dock. • MAKE SURE that the lorry cannot roll away by engaging the brakes and placing a wheel chock or a safety block before starting the loading process. • MAKE SURE that the leveller rests safely on the lorry bed with its whole width during the whole loading process. • NEVER position the dock leveller by hand or by means of other tools. • NEVER operate the dock leveller if it is not in perfect working condition. Faults must immediately be reported to the responsible supervisor. • MAKE SURE that the dock leveller is returned to its cross-traffic position as soon as the loading operation has been completed. • SECURE the dock leveller by means of the inspection support before maintenance. • NEVER exceed the permissible load capacity. • BEFORE any work on the electrical equipment can be started the dock leveller must be de-energized and secured against being switched on again. Short operating instructions (PT/PAT) Attention! To operate the leveller, turn the mains isolator to „1“and leave it in this position. Emergency! Set the mains isolator to „0“; any movement is stopped immediately. Park the lorry in its loading position. - Secure the lorry against undefined movements. Place the dock leveller on the lorry bed. - Press the “LIFT” button on the control unit the platform has reached the required height. - Press the “ADVANCE” button until the lip projects beyond the lorry bed; release the button. - The dock leveller automatically comes to rest on the lorry bed. During the loading operation the telescopic lip must rest safely on the lorry bed with its whole width. - Do not turn the mains isolator to „0“! Return the dock leveller to its cross-traffic position by means of the „AUTO” button. - Briefly press the “AUTO” button after the loading process. - The dock leveller automatically returns to its cross-traffic position.
