Product catalog summary
General Information
The PS-type dock leveller with hinge lip is engineered for efficient loading and unloading, automatically adjusting to vehicle height changes. It is made from high-strength steel for durability and reduced weight, complying with European EN 1398 standards and is CE marked.
Design Features
The leveller is available in lengths from 1750 to 4500 mm and widths from 1750 to 2400 mm, with a nominal capacity of 6 tons. It features an anti-slip coating and optional insulation. The control system includes standard and optional functions like indicator light control and vehicle sensor operation.
Hinge Lip
The lip is constructed from 13 mm thick tread plate, available in designs such as standard, bevelled, fold-down segments, and FALL-GUARD interlock for enhanced safety and versatility.
Platform
Made from 6 mm thick tread plate, the platform supports standard forklifts and can be reinforced for hard wheel devices. It includes side covers for safety and optional EPDM gaskets for energy efficiency.
Framing
Various framing options (T-frame, W-frame, F-frame, O-frame, B-frame) are offered to accommodate different installation needs, ensuring quick and cost-effective setup.
Control System
The robust control system has an IP65 tightness degree and supports optional features for enhanced functionality.
Leveller Selection
Selection is based on specific operational requirements to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Pit-frame and SMD-frame
The pit-frame involves welding the dock leveller framing to the pit's back angle for easy assembly. The SMD-frame requires welding at both the back and front of the pit or to a supporting beam if a tail lift is present.
Control System Details
The control system includes a main switch for on/off and emergency use, a control button for platform lifting, an automatic return button, air sealing controls, PROM door control, and safety accessories like indicator lights and sensors.
Leveller Selection Criteria
  • Nominal capacity: Must not exceed the dock leveller's capacity, considering dynamic effects.
  • Wheel pressure: Designed for specific forklift wheel types; consult PROMStahl for hard wheels.
  • Nominal length: Should not exceed a 12.5% slope as per EN 1398 standards.
  • Nominal width: Should be at least 700 mm wider than the docking device's tread.
  • Maximum height: Ensures a tail-lift recess for docking vehicles with lifts, recommended at 3000 mm x 350 mm.
