General PrincipleThe I 400 system is designed to provide an upgradeable solution for integrating weighing into industrial processes. It consists of three main components structured around a CAN Open field bus: the Graphic Terminal, the associated weight transmitter(s), and the field bus coupler. The system supports three configurations: a complete independent weighing system managed by the Graphic Terminal, a system with central data management using a field bus coupler, and a configuration where the client system manages the entire application.
ApplicationsThe I 400 system is versatile and can be used in various applications such as silo weighing, dosing by batch, packaging, flow regulation for filling or unloading, and as a check weigher.
ComponentsGraphic Terminal: The terminal manages the weighing application and communicates through the field bus. It can be equipped with communication accessories, input/output accessories, and a Data Storage Device for trade use. It is available in stainless steel or rack versions.
Transmitter: Connects 1 to 4
load cells and converts analog signals to digital. It can be equipped with an interface card for additional inputs and outputs. Available in black zinc plated steel or stainless steel versions.
Coupler: Interfaces the CAN field bus with other field buses like Profibus, DeviceNET, and TCP/MODBUS Ethernet. It can manage communication or delocalized inputs/outputs.
System ConfigurationsThe system can support from 1 to 31 transmitters and can be configured with or without a Graphic Terminal, depending on the client's needs. The configurations allow for flexibility in managing the weighing process and integrating with other systems.
