Metal Scrap Conveying S O L U T I O N S A T W O R K Screw Conveyors Collect, transfer, meter feed and distribute wet or dry metal chips and turnings with PRAB screw conveyors. Designed and engineered specifically for each application, they are available in various diameters from Sealed trough designs move wet or dry material All motor and bearings are “off the shelf” for ease of maintenance Abrasion resistant flared trough construction Trough surfaces can be customized to meet special requirements Covered by PRAB’s one-year warranty 152 mm to 610 mm and lengths to 6 m, depending upon the application. Each screw conveyor is engineered to work with other equipment or a load hopper is built to fit the needs of the application. An optional helical auger is available for special applications. The screw conveyor is one of PRAB’s 12 conveyor styles. PRAB screw conveyors are well suited for distribution or elevating applications. Dual auger designs are available. Screw conveyors are excellent in applications such as feeding a metal turnings shredder. When PRAB installation and operational guidelines are followed, the equipment will perform as designed, or we will revise, repair, or make whatever changes are necessary to achieve the proper operation of the equipment.
