Product Data Sheet Versar PPS Hydrogel® Modular Cool Vest Overview The modular vest provides long effective cooling relief in warm temperature and extreme heat conditions. It protects & cools the body in an optimal way. No electrical appliances required for activation – only water. Cooling is immediate, but gentle, and gives a refreshing feeling of cooling for work and medical environments. It becomes lighter as the water evaporates due to body heat, reducing fatigue. Vest with pockets containing removable cooling pads 3 widely adjustable sizes using Velcro/elasticated sides Cooling pads are activated without wetting the vest allowing faster activation and response Spare cooling pads available Vest material flame retardant to EN ISO 6940:2004 Worn comfortably next to the skin and over light weight fabrics. Cools down to 7°C below the ambient temperature Concept works through evaporation, small pads of polymer dry gel absorb water and gradually release water vapour as your body warms the gel Once deactivated the hydrogel inserts will return back to their original dry gel form Washable and launderable with mild detergents. CE marked for medical use. Activation The Cooling pads need to be activated in water before use by immersing the cooling pads in a container with water for about 30 - 60 minutes. Then gently wring (can be wrapped in a towel to remove excess water), and hang in a well-ventilated place for 30 minutes, if required touch dry. For additional cooling, after activation the pads can be frozen or refrigerated.
