Introduction
The PA SDi-Drive™ series represents a new generation of CNC controls, offering a digital, compact, and cost-effective servo drive solution suitable for various machine tools. Key features include high dynamics, precision, efficiency, and low heat generation. The series supports up to three axes in one housing, optimizing space and cost.
SpecificationsThe PA SDi-Drive Maxi™ series includes four models: MA310, MA315, MA215, and MA120. Each model varies in the number of axes and rated current:
- MA310: 3 axes, 10 amps each
- MA315: 3 axes, 2 with 10 amps, 1 with 15 amps
- MA215: 2 axes, 1 with 10 amps, 1 with 15 amps
- MA120: 1 axis, 20 amps
All models operate with a rated mains voltage of 3 x 230V to 480V and an auxiliary supply voltage of 24V DC.
Technical Data
Dimensions for all models are consistent: height with plug is 472 mm, without plug is 378 mm, width is 152 mm, and depth is 240 mm. The drives feature direct power supply, integrated line filter, internal regen resistor, and control for various motor types.
Interface and Software
The drives integrate fully with the PA CNC system, offering a cycle time of 500µs to 1ms for set-point values. The PA SDI-appltM software supports English and German, facilitating communication via the PA SDI realtime bus. It allows automatic loading of default parameters and motor parameters based on feedback type.
Feedback and Security
Supported feedback systems include resolver, EnDat®-encoder, Hiperface®-encoder, and high-resolution SIN/Cos-encoder. Security features include safe restart-lock and holding brake control compliant with EN 954 and ISO 13849 standards.
Conclusion
The PA SDi-Drive Maxi™ series offers a robust solution for CNC applications, combining advanced servo performance with ease of integration and operation. Power Automation GmbH reserves the right to make changes without prior notice.
