Description of Operation
Pressure sequence valves, specifically the DZ5DP type, are utilized to connect a secondary hydraulic system when the main system reaches a predetermined pressure. These valves can be installed in any position within the system. The valve consists of a housing, control spool, pressure spring, pressure setting element, and an optional check valve. The sequence pressure is adjusted using the pressure setting element. The control spool is held in a neutral position by the spring, keeping the valve closed until the set pressure is reached, at which point the spool moves to open the connection from port A to B, activating the connected hydraulic system without reducing pressure at port P. Control fluid can be supplied externally via port X, and the pilot fluid drain can be either external or internal. An optional check valve allows free flow from B to A.
Technical Data
The valve operates with mineral oil or phosphate ester as hydraulic fluid, with a nominal viscosity of 37 mm²/s at 328 K. The viscosity range is 2.8 to 380 mm²/s, with an optimum working temperature of 313-328 K and a fluid temperature range of 253-343 K. Required fluid filtration is 16 µm, with a recommended filtration of 10 µm. The maximum pressure at ports P, A, B (X) is 21 MPa, and at port T (Y) is 6 MPa. The maximum allowable flow rate is 15 dm³/min, and the valve weighs 1.4 kg.
Overall Dimensions and Adjustment
Adjustment options include a hand knob, set screw with internal hexagon, or a lockable hand knob. Sealing rings are required at ports P, A, T (Y), B (X). The subplate face must have admissible surface roughness and flatness deviation.
Performance Curves
Performance curves are provided for different configurations, measured at a viscosity of 41 mm²/s and a temperature of 323 K. The curves illustrate the relationship between flow rate (Q) and pressure (P).

PRESSURE SEQUENCE VALVE TYPE DZ5DP NG 5 Pressure sequence valves are used for connecting a second hydraulic system when pressure in a main system reaches the set value. The valve can be mounted in systems in any positions. The sequence valve comprises the housing 1, control spool 2, pressure spring 3, pressure setting element 4 and optional check valve 5. Sequence pressure is adjusted by means of the pressure setting element 4. The spring 3 holds the control spool 2 in neutral position and the valve is closed. Pressure in line P affects the spool surface opposite the spring 3 via the control line 6 and jet 6. When the pressure in line P reaches the value set, the con- trol spool moves and opens the connection A to B. The hydraulic system connected at port A is actuated, without any decrease in pressure at port P. Supply of control fluid may also be external, via port X. Depending on the valve application, the pilot fluid drain is either external via port T (Y) or internal. A check valve 5 may be mounted for free flow through the valve from B to A.
