Technical Specifications
The Automatic Overlocker "KR" by POLYTEX Switzerland is designed for high production output, specifically for home textiles, kitchen towels, upholstery samples, and carpet squares. It handles samples with maximum dimensions of 70x70 cm (27½"x27½") and operates at an overlocking speed of 10–12 m/min, achieving a stitch quality of 3–5 stitches/cm (7–10 stitches/inch). The machine can produce up to 250 samples per hour and includes a safety device made of acrylic-glass. It uses Juki MO 6714 sewing machines and operates on 1x230 V, 50 cycles electricity. The overall dimensions are 2050 mm in length, 1530 mm in width, and 1200 mm in height, with an approximate weight of 350 kg (770 lbs.).

Design and Functionality
The machine is suitable for heavy and medium-weight fabrics and is capable of perfectly sewing right angles. It is easily programmable for 1–4 sides and various overlocking purposes. The machine features manual loading by an operator and an automatic detection system, along with an automatic "turn and feed" process and stacking system after overlocking. It includes an end-thread cutter and an aspirator for cut-offs.

Programming and Operation
The machine is equipped with a modern touch-screen interface that displays all relevant setup information. It is easily programmable with parameters such as the number of sides, stitches per cm/inch, sewing speed, angle-end stitching speed, stitch density, and thread cut-length. The machine can handle difficult fabrics like velvets due to its digital fine-tuning capabilities. In automatic mode, a photocell detects fabric placement and activates the cycle, returning to standby mode upon completion.

Sewing Machine and Puller
The synchronized operation of the sewing head and puller is crucial for successful automatic overlocking. The programmable adjustment of the puller belts' speed relative to the sewing speed ensures wrinkle-free fabric feed and perfect stitches.

4-KR Workspace
One operator can manage up to four Overlockers KR simultaneously, allowing for a high-output workspace capable of producing up to 1000 four-side-overlocked swatches per hour.
