PTFE glass fibre, type BS - 1

Type BS has a closed smooth surface with a self-adhesive silicone layer, on one side, covered with a release liner. The glass fibre is also impregnated with PTFE, but has a slightly different structure than type BP. The solid structure of this type of glass fibre ensures a higher tensile strength. The standard silicone adhesive layer is resistant to a maximum temperature up to +250°C. On request, type BS is available with acrylic adhesive layer for applications requiring higher adhesion. This acrylic adhesive layer can be used up to +120°C. The base material PTFE glass fibre is often used in applications containing load of the material. For example in industrial processes in which pressure, temperature, UV light and/or non-stick properties are important factors. Key properties PTFE glass fibre • Wide temperature range from -200°C to +260°C (for "stic" types -73°C to +250°C) • Excellent chemical resistance • Good anti-stick properties • Easy to clean • Low friction coefficient from 0.04 to 0.10 (depending on load, transport speed and temperature) • Excellent electrical, insulation and dielectric properties • Foods suitable (USFDA) Standard packing unit of type BS are rolls of 30 mtr, in various widths. Other lengths are available on request. The most common thicknesses are 0,08 mm/0,13 mm/0,15 mm /0,25 mm. The standard colour of PTFE glass fibre is light brown. Other colours available on request. Our sales engineers are at your service when you want to determine the right formula for your application. Nominal thickness The above mentioned types are our standard.
