Fluoro-etch etching fluid is easy to apply. It is suitable for "in house" etching of surfaces of new products or repair of old or damaged products and etched surfaces treated with other etching methods. Applicable for total immersion when using an etching tank. For all fluoroplastics like PTFE, PFA, FEP, PCTFE Key properties FluoroEtch etchant • Safety • Flash point +70°C in stead of +2°C – so no fire risk • Easy to use • Larger mechanical tensile strength of the compound (15% Na/NH3 - Sodium Ammonium) • No cooling required during storage and transport • Shelf-life 1 jaar • ISO certificate • REACH approved • Environmental friendly – waste will be taken back (against freight costs) and partly recycled. Strong adhesion Fluoro-etch generates a 15% stronger adhesion compared to sodium ammonia etching. Surfaces treated with Fluoro-etch still remain suitable for adhesion applications for a few months when stored in a moisture-free environment and if protected against UV light. Storage The shelf-life of Fluoro-etch is approximately 1 year if stored at room temperature. Fluoro-etch can be stored without refrigeration. Treatment Our recommendation is to heat the closed bottle in hot water (about 60°C) and shake well before use. This will activate the etching fluid to the best workable conditions. Adjust Fluoro-etch with this elevated temperature for optimal adhesion. The etching products must be clean and dry. Pre-heated products will generate a better etching in shorter period. Cleaning Rinse with alcohol. This is the most effective solution to deactivate sodium. After this, flush with clean, non-chlorinated, water with a temperature of about 75°C. Final drying with hot air in the oven at 75°C. Polyfluor Plastics bv Minervum 7006, NL-4817 ZL Breda T +31 (0)76 7920000 F +31 (0)76 7920030

Package deliveries without restrictions. Use Fluoro-etch under standard industrial safety and hygiene standards; Put on protective clothing, wear rubber gloves and safety goggles as procedure with all chemical use. Due to the high flash point of 70°C and the low volatility, there is no need for special measures. Minimum ventilation desired local. ( 3-4 m3/min.) Packaging Fluoro-etch is available in cans of 0.5/1 and 4 liters Polyfluor Plastics bv...
