Sling Chains Overview
This document provides detailed specifications for sling chains of grades 8, 10, and 12, as per DIN EN 818-4 standards. The chains are available in single, double, triple, and quadruple strand configurations, each with specific load-bearing capacities and chain thicknesses.

Specifications

• Single Strand Chains: Available in grades 8, 10, and 12, with varying load capacities depending on the tilt angle and chain thickness. The nominal thickness ranges from 6 mm to 20 mm.
• Double Strand Chains: Similar to single strand but with increased load capacities. The nominal thickness ranges from 6 mm to 20 mm.
• Triple and Quadruple Strand Chains: These configurations offer higher load capacities, with nominal thicknesses ranging from 6 mm to 19 mm.

Load Bearing Capacities
The load-bearing capacity varies with the tilt angle (0 to 45° and 45 to 60°) and the chain's nominal thickness. For example, a single strand grade 8 chain with a 6 mm thickness has a capacity of 1.12 tons at a 90° angle.

Ordering Information
Each chain type is provided with specific order numbers for different configurations and lengths. Customers are advised to specify the usable length when ordering.

Additional Features
Chains come completely assembled with options for extra length per meter and shortening per strand, which includes 5 chain links and a shortening hook with a fork head. Custom dimensions and final equipment are available upon request.
