Inspection control stations must be installed on car roofs to facilitate maintenance, featuring:
- Inspection operation switch (EN 81-20 5.11.2).
- Direction push buttons with clear movement indication.
- Stopping device conforming to EN 81-20 5.12.1.11.
Safety contacts must comply with EN 81-20 5.11.2.2.1, offering:
- Protection degree higher than IP4x (EN 60529).
- Mechanical durability over 1 million cycles.
For maintenance, a bypass device must be provided, featuring:
- Protection against unintended use.
- Lockable protection with padlocks.
- IP54, IP65, or IP67 protection degree (IEC 60529).
An audible signal and flashing light must activate during movement (EN 81-20 5.12.1.8).
Pit inspection boxes must include a stopping device, inspection control station, socket outlet, and well lighting switch (EN 81-20 5.2.1.5.1).
Emergency lights must provide at least 5 lux for 1 hour upon normal lighting failure, with IP54 or IP67 protection (EN 81-20 5.4.10.4).
