Product catalog summary
Product Overview:
The Network Control Unit (NCU) is designed for remote display and control of messages from Pertronic analogue addressable fire alarm control panels, such as F100 and F120. It allows full control and interrogation of any panel on the network, replicating the panel's display and performing primary functions globally across the network.

Features:
  • Large graphics LCD display with backlight
  • Low power consumption
  • Integral buzzer and LED indications for various statuses including 'Alarm', 'Fault', and 'Isolate'
  • Coloured primary control pushbuttons for easy recognition
  • Network status LEDs for global indication
  • Local and external buzzer outputs
  • Switches for isolating external bell and warning system circuits across the network
  • Pushbuttons for network-wide isolation or de-isolation of outputs
  • Switches for operating warning systems and conducting tests
  • Navigation switches for event queues
  • Alarm and operation acknowledge facility
  • Reset and isolate switches for loop devices
  • Six soft function switches for various operations

Specifications:
  • LCD screen: 240 x 128 pixel graphics
  • Cabinet size: 375 x 232 x 50 mm (W x H x D)
  • DC Current: Quiescent 15mA @ 24 VDC, Alarm 37mA @ 24 VDC
  • Communications: RS485 Serial Link

Connections:
The NCU operates in 'Full Duplex' mode and connects to a dedicated Network card (NETCD-NCU) via a 4-core cable. It can function as a stand-alone display unit or replace an F120 or F100 panel display. Network cards are interconnected by twisted-pair cables, ensuring a fault redundant data path.

NETCU-A-1

Product Overview: The Network Control Unit (NCU) allows remote display of messages from a network of Pertronic analogue addressable fire alarm control panels, such as F100 and/or F120 panels. The Network Control Unit allows full and direct control and interrogation of any individual panel on the network by communicating directly with the control panel and replicating that panel’s display. It can monitor and control all of the control panels across the entire network site simultaneously by performing the same primary functions as the individual control panel keyboard-display themselves on a global basis. » Large graphics LCD display with Backlight » Low power consumption » Integral buzzer » LED indication for ‘Alarm’, ‘Fault’, ‘Isolate’, ‘Mains’, ‘PSU Fault’ and ‘Brigade Called’ » Coloured primary control pushbuttons for easy recognition » Network status LEDs to indicate ‘Alarm’, ‘Fault’ and ‘Isolate’ globally » LED indication for status for primary controls » Local buzzer with external buzzer output » ‘External Bell Isolate’ switch: inhibits the external bell circuits across the entire network » ‘Warning System Isolate’ switch: inhibits the warning system circuits across the entire network » ‘Door Holder Isolate’ and ‘ACF Isolate’ pushbuttons with indicators, for network wide isolation or de-isolation of dedicated outputs » ‘Warning System On’ switch: operates all warning system circuits across the entire network » ‘Walk Test’ and ‘Lamp Test’ pushbuttons with indicators for use in direct communication with a control panel » ‘Previous’ and ‘Next’ switches: used to navigate current event queues » ‘ACK’ switch: Alarm and operation acknowledge facility » ‘Reset’ switch: resets the displayed device in alarm after an activation » ‘Isolate’ switch: isolate and de-isolates loop devices from the ‘Alarm’, ‘Fault’ or ‘Isol

The NCU can operate as a stand-alone display unit, remote from any panel, or it may replace an F120 or F100 panel display and be mounted within the panel itself. All network cards are interconnected by dedicated twisted-pair network cable between each pair of cards, providing a fully fault redundant data path in case of a cable break or short-circuit.
