Analogue Addressable 200 Series Detectors Product Overview: 200 Series intelligent plug-in COPTIR sensors combine four sensing elements into one unit: - CO sensor: (using EC cell technology) for monitoring CO products from a fire - IR sensor: for measuring ambient light levels and flame signatures - Optical smoke sensor - Heat sensor By measuring and processing the individual sensor outputs in conjunction ultra-immune to nuisance sources which are incorrectly identified as a real fire by a single sensing element, yet remains very sensitive to real fires. The CO sensing cell has an average expected lifetime of approximately five years. An internal timer signals the control panel with a fault to indicate the approach of the CO cell’s end of life. The CO cell is not field-replaceable, but upon expiration, the cell should be replaced through the system supplier. Smoke and heat detection is not compromised when the CO cell is expired, but the fault will remain. The algorithms automatically adjust to properly weight the inputs from the Photoelectric, Heat and IR sensors. Individual sensor Alarm thresholds are programmable within the control panel software. The F100A and F120A control panels can utilise the 6 sensitivities available from a single sensor and react accordingly. The smoke levels within the sensor are monitored continuously and reported to the panel. Each sensor’s address is easily set with the 200 Series addressable decade address switches, giving the precise location of each sensor in the event of a fire or for selective maintenance when chamber contamination reaches an unacceptable level.
