Product catalog summary
Introduction
This document provides technical details for Permabond UV643, a UV-curable acrylic adhesive designed for bonding rigid plastics and metals. It emphasizes the importance of testing the product for specific applications and clarifies that no warranties are provided.

Features & Benefits
Permabond UV643 offers excellent strength on various plastics, a tack-free surface cure, quick curing at specific UV wavelengths, and resistance to thermal cycles and yellowing.

Description
The adhesive is thixotropic and cures quickly under UV light, providing high durability in hot and humid conditions. It is suitable for thermoplastics like polycarbonate, PMMA, PETG, PET, ABS, and rigid PVC.

Physical Properties
Uncured adhesive has a urethane acrylate composition, pale yellow appearance, and specific viscosity and gravity values. Curing properties depend on UV lamp power and substrate characteristics.

Performance
Cured adhesive exhibits specific shear and tensile strengths, elongation, modulus, hardness, shrinkage, and water absorption rates. It retains strength after thermal aging and cycling.

Usage Recommendations
Not recommended for use with strong oxidizers. Surfaces should be clean and dry before application. Directions include stirring bulk adhesive, applying directly or via dispensing equipment, and ensuring proper UV exposure.

Additional Products
Permabond offers a range of adhesives including anaerobics, cyanoacrylates, epoxies, MS-polymers, polyurethanes, and toughened acrylics.

Storage & Handling
Store between 5 to 25°C, protecting from room lighting. Contact information for Permabond is provided for further inquiries.

Technical Datasheet *Substrate failure was observed Typical fixture time (acrylic)* *The cure time depends on the power of the UV lamp, its spectral output, the distance between the lamp and the components, and the transmission characteristics of the substrates. Typical Curing PropertiesThermal Cycling The table below shows the shear strength retained after thermal cycling. Lap shear specimens were prepared and cured at 23°C, aged at the indicated temperature, and tested at 23°C. **LED UV lamps have a narrow range of spectral output. It is important to check suitability with Permabond in order to match the LED lamp's peak wavelength with that of the adhesive's photoinitiator to ensure optimal adhesive cure. *Substrate failure was observed.
