Rectifier Systems convert A.C. current to D.C. current and impress a voltage potential force upon the exterior surface of the protected structure through inert anodes (usually carbon or high silicon cast iron). CATHODIC PROTECTION GENERAL Cathodic protection against galvanic corrosion shall be provided for the underground piping furnished under these specifications. The cathodic protection system shall be designed and furnished by the piping system manufacturer. Cathodic protection materials, including anodes, wire and test stations shall be supplied by the cathodic protection system supplier.
