On show for the first time at Middle East Electricity 2014, the new 3 cylinder ElectropaK offering, which includes the 1103A-33TG1, is targeted at non-regulated countries. Developed to provide cost effective power, the 1103A-33TG1 offers 45 kVA prime power at 1500 rpm; the 1103A-33TG2 is rated at 60 kVA prime power, while the 1103A-33G completes the line-up with 30 kVA prime power on tap. The changes made to the new 1103A EP offering, which goes into production The 1103A has been updated to meet the needs of the electric power market in quarter 2, 2014, include a modified and robust fuel system which now uses a mechanical lift pump, ensuring OEMs benefit from a competitive cost of ownership. “The new 1103A range is focused on meeting the requirements of our EP customers,” said Simon Gray, EP marketing manager. “This addition to the range, adds to the competitive offering the already successful 1100 Series platform, delivers to customers today.” With a focus on delivering dependable and cost effective power solutions, Perkins is also showing the 403A-11G1 at MEE 2014. There are four engines in the 400A range, which come in ElectropaK specification, providing a turnkey package for direct integration into a generating plant. In the field the 400A offers a competitive cost of ownership with the option of an Extended Service Interval package, doubling the service interval to 1,000 hours. The showcase also includes the 1106A-70TAG ElectropaK, which continues to stretch the boundaries of diesel engine development and operation by offering class-leading power density – all achieved in a compact, 6 cylinder, 7 litre mechanical package, without the need for common rail or full authority electronics.
