Key Facts • More than 22 million engines manufactured since 1932 • Broad industrial engine range of 0.5-18 litres and electric power range of 0.5-61 litres • Power over 5,000 machine applications Engines are produced using the Caterpillar Production System established in all Perkins manufacturing operations, achieving the same efficient processes and stringent quality controls at every global facility. Production processes feature state-of-the-art computerised and robotic technology for machining, assembly, test and paint.
