CLASSIC-V VS. SUPER-V: What’s the difference? We’ve drawn on decades of rack mount case experience to produce two tiers of performance. The Peli-Hardigg™ Classic-V Series has a 33” (838 mm) depth frame and has longer shock mounts and a larger sway space between the rack and shell. This case also has 4 removable heavy-duty casters and stainless steel handles. Extra insurance if your equipment frequently ships via freight services. The Peli-Hardigg™ Super-V Series has a 24” (610 mm) deep frame and uses shorter shock mounts for compact case dimensions. This case uses edge casters - just grab the Comfort-Grip Handles and you’re ready to roll. SHARED FEATURES All Peli-Hardigg™ Classic-V and Super-V Series are rated for equipment loads up to 77 kg. Mating columnar ribs create a rigid shell and also provide secure stacking of same-size cases. This prevents vacuum-lock that can make opening the case difficult. Lids include a fully sealed O-ring gasket that works with the purge valve to make the case fully watertight. These features may seem extraordinary, but we’ve learned that water and electronics don’t mix. We even ship the case with your choice of 10-32 Imperial or M6 Metric clip-nuts. VIBRATION IS YOUR ENEMY. Drops and impact are an obvious no-no with electronics, but vibration puts damaging repetitive stress on delicate parts and soldered joints.
