Testing and Standards: Testing capabilities include fatigue life, noise/vibration, mud slurry, and salt spray testing, ensuring reliability and durability of the bearings.
Manufacturing and Quality Assurance: PEER's manufacturing facilities are TS-16949 certified, indicating adherence to high-quality standards. The company emphasizes meeting quality and delivery requirements, highlighting the importance of quality products in customer relationships.
Product Details: Detailed tables provide specifications for each bearing series, including bore size, outer diameter, width, dynamic and static load ratings, and limiting speeds for both oil and grease lubrication.
5300 Series Bearings: Designed with double row construction for heavy radial and thrust loads, available with shields and seals, and capable of high RPMs. Key specifications include outer diameter, bore diameter, width, weight, and dynamic/static load ratings.
Mast Guide Series: Designed for industrial truck mast movements, handling heavy radial and shock loads with thick outer rings and special seals for adverse environments. Includes part numbers and interchange information with other brands.
Spherical Plain Bearings (GE Series): Available in inch and metric dimensions, designed for severe misalignment conditions, available as open bearings or with seals. Detailed dimensions and tilt angles are provided.
Thrust Bearings (51000 Series): Available in single and double direction designs, capable of handling high axial loads but no radial loads. Includes dimensions and interchange information with other brands.
Collar Bearings/Flangette Series: Includes specifications for collar bearings with clamp and standard types, as well as snap ring mounted bearings. Provides dimensions, load ratings, and material information.
Self-Aligning Ball Bearings: Double row types with a spherical raceway in the outer ring, allowing for self-alignment and compensation for misalignment, shaft deflections, and housing deformation. Available with cylindrical or tapered bores (1:12).
16000 Series Deep Groove Ball Bearings: Designed for maximum performance with precise ball complement selection and honed raceways, capable of handling radial, thrust, or combination loads. Includes specifications for dimensions, load ratings, tolerances, and limiting speeds for both oil and grease lubrication.
Material and Construction: Bearings available in stainless steel 440C material upon request, with radial clearance selected based on application requirements ranging from C2 to C4 fits.
Internal Radial Clearance: Crucial for allowing interference fits without causing radial preload, accommodating thermal expansion, and slight misalignment, especially important for high-speed operations. Radial clearance is defined as the difference between the average diameters of the outer and inner ring raceways, minus twice the ball diameter.
Design & Operating Conditions: Outlines the selection of shaft and housing fits based on rotational conditions, axial displaceability, and radial loading. Includes tables for both metric and inch measurements, specifying the appropriate shaft fit for various conditions.
Tolerance Classifications: Detailed tables classify tolerances for shaft and housing fits, providing deviation and fit values for different size ranges to ensure proper fit and function of the bearings under various operational conditions.
Load Capacity and Life: Discusses the selection of PEER bearings based on load carrying capacity, operational speed, and life requirements. The basic load rating (Cr) is used to calculate the bearing's life, defined as the number of revolutions before fatigue occurs.
Lubricant Types: Discusses various lubricant types, including oils and greases, highlighting the advantages of synthetic oils over petroleum-based oils. Grease is described as oil with added thickeners to prevent migration, suitable for situations where frequent lubricant replenishment is undesirable.
Lubrication Methods: Grease packing to 25% of a ball bearing's free volume is common, though 100% packing can lead to shearing and heat buildup, potentially causing bearing failure.
Unit Conversion Table: Provides a list of various units of measurement along with their conversion factors to obtain other units, including conversions for temperature, length, volume, mass, force, and energy.
Contact Information: Lists contact details for PEER Bearing's offices in the USA, China, Italy, Germany, Brazil, and the United Kingdom, including address, phone number, and email for inquiries.
