This is accomplished through a cam-activated, oscillating action between the three burnishing gears and the component. With its automatic loader, the APV receives parts from either rolling type automation or a manual loading chute. The automatic loader accepts one part per cycle into the oscillating part lifter for fast and reliable loading. The part lifter has two positions so that both loading and unloading are simultaneous with the burnishing cycle. After the part lifter has advanced a new part to the working elevations, a shuttle loader/part stripper moves the part to the burnishing position in a positive, jam-proof manner.
