The keypad is manufactured using a cast metal housing and is supplied with a choice of a metal mounting plate or a metal surface mounting box. This robust keypad is also backlit for ease of use in low lighting conditions. All compacts are standalone, meaning that they do not use a PC in their set up. The Compact products are a control unit and reader in one; they are great for lower security internal and external doors that need to have restricted access. A PIN is entered using the keypad.
