Model 335 The Advantage Series’ Dusenbery® 335 Duplex Turreting Center Slitter/Rewinder’s cantilevered rewind shafts offer fast finished roll removal and easier core placement. Its duplex turret design with automatic transfer provides increased productivity over the traditional cantilevered machines. Dusenbery’s advanced control package has been refined for over 50 years to produce exceptional roll quality on multiple ID cores up to 32” diameter using center wind with top riding rolls or minimum gap modes. It has an operating speed to 2,500 FPM, plus optional roll unloading and core locating systems. The 335 can unwind, slit and rewind a wide range of materials utilizing proper tension control of the material throughout the machine. It is designed for continuous 24/7 operation in a manufacturing environment. All side plates are of ground steel plate, finished 1 .75” thick supported by heavy duty torque members formed from thick wall rectangular tubing. All cast iron components are of grade 65-45-12 ductile iron. Sheet metal work is minimum 14 gauge (0.075 in. thick). Grade 5 high tensile bolts are used throughout. The design takes full consideration of maintenance requirements including proper provision for replacement of belts, bearings, motors, valves and so forth. Unloader Designed to unload finished rewind packages from cantilevered rewind mandrels, the 413 unloader rotates manually away from the mandrels in a vertical plane (180º total rotation) and then automatically pivots to the horizontal plane for ease of unloading. Roll Pushers Linear actuated roll pushers enable the operator to remove the finished rewind packages without repetitive physical force, and are automatically operated from the machine PLC.
