IntroductionParker Hannifin Corporation offers three types of seamless metric tubes for hydraulic, pneumatic, and instrumentation applications. These include steel seamless cold drawn tubes with phosphate and oil dipping, zinc Chromium-6 free plating, and stainless steel cold drawn tubes.
Conformance and Material SpecificationsAll tubes undergo a non-destructive leak test and are marked accordingly. This marking replaces a works certificate DIN EN 10204-2.2. Test Class 1 DIN EN 10216-5 Table 7 applies for tubes made of 1.4571 material.
Materials and Mechanical PropertiesSteel types, mechanical properties, and conditions are detailed in Table Q1. The R Series steel tubes are weldable using standard techniques, while stainless steel tubes of 1.4571 are suitable for arc welding.

ApplicationsA bend radius of 3 times the tube O.D. or greater is recommended for cold bending. The use of VH tube supports for EO and EO-2 fittings is required in certain thinner wall tubes.
Temperature RangeParker steel metric seamless tubes can be used at full rated working pressures within -40°C to +120°C, with a maximum operating temperature of +250°C. Stainless steel tubes can be used from -60°C to +20°C, with a maximum operating temperature of +400°C.
As Delivered ConditionsStandard tube lengths are 6 meters. Surface finishes vary based on the tube type, with options including phosphated and oiled, and zinc Chromium-6 free.
Pressure CalculationsPressure calculations are based on DIN 2413 standards for static and dynamic stress. Safety correction values and factors for wall thickness divergence are provided.
Seamless EO Steel TubesMaterial E235N (St. 37.4) tubes are detailed with design pressures, tolerances, and burst pressures. Conversion factors for pressure and weight are provided.
Seamless EO Stainless Steel TubesMaterial-No.: 1.4571 tubes are detailed with pressure calculations according to DIN 2413 standards. Safety factors and conversion factors are included.
