Actuator Products – Tie Rod Cylinders
The 4MA/4ML Series includes cylinders with operating pressures up to 250 PSIG for air service and 400 PSIG for hydraulic service. Temperature ranges depend on seal type, and filtration requires 40-micron dry filtered air or filtered hydraulic oil. The cylinders offer flexible construction, multiple bore sizes, and various mounting styles. They are RoHS compliant and available with different piston types and rod materials.

Specifications and Design Considerations
Piston rods should not absorb bending moments or perpendicular loads. Double rods may have external stroke adjusters, which can create pinch points. Threaded connections are secured with anaerobic adhesive, which weakens above 250°F (121°C). For high-temperature applications, non-studded rods and pinned joints are recommended.

Cushions
Cushions are recommended for piston velocities over 4 inches/second. Rotating mass applications require special consideration.

Cylinder Mountings

Terms and Conditions
Prices are valid for 30 days and may change due to various factors. Payment is due 30 days from the invoice date. Title and risk pass to the buyer upon tender to the carrier. Delivery dates are approximate, and the seller is not liable for delays.

Specifications and Warranty
Seller provides a warranty for products to be free from defects in material or workmanship for 12 months from delivery or 2,000 hours of use, whichever comes first. This warranty is exclusive and disclaims all other warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Claims and Liability
Claims for shortages must be reported within 10 days of delivery, and other claims within 60 days. Actions for breach must commence within 13 months. Seller's liability is limited to repair, replacement, or refund of the purchase price, excluding special, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

User Responsibility and Indemnity
The user is responsible for selecting and ensuring the product meets all application requirements. Buyer indemnifies Seller against claims arising from misuse or improper application of products.

Property and Tooling
Seller may destroy obsolete property after two years without orders. Special tooling remains Seller's property, and Seller may alter or dispose of it at any time.

Order Changes and Cancellations
Orders cannot be canceled or changed without Seller's consent. Seller may change product features with notice.

Legal and Termination
The agreement is governed by Ohio law, with disputes settled in Cuyahoga County courts. Seller may terminate the agreement with 30 days' notice or immediately for specific breaches.

Intellectual Property
Seller indemnifies Buyer against U.S. intellectual property infringement claims, provided Buyer notifies Seller promptly and allows Seller to control the defense.

Taxes and Equal Opportunity
Prices exclude taxes unless stated otherwise. Equal employment opportunity clauses are incorporated for government contracts exceeding $10,000.
