Product Overview: The Fulflo® Honeycomb™ Filter Cartridges are multi-purpose filtration solutions using wound depth cartridges. They are suitable for a variety of applications including oxidizing agents, petroleum oils, concentrated alkalies, potable liquids, dilute acids, mineral acids, organic acids, and solvents. These cartridges offer effective removal ratings at nominal 90% efficiency from 0.5μm to 150μm.
Benefits: The cartridges provide excellent compatibility with various organic solvents and oils, optional core covers for fiber migration control, and multiple length options to minimize change-out time. They are FDA grade certified for contact with drinking water components and offer performance consistency through continuous strand winding geometry.
Specifications: The cartridges are available in various materials such as cotton, rayon, polypropylene, nylon, and polyester, all FDA listed for potable and edible liquid contact. They come in different nominal lengths and core materials, with various seal and end cap configurations. The maximum recommended operating conditions include a change-out ΔP of 30psi, ΔP at ambient temperature of 60psi, and a flow rate of 10gpm per 10-inch length.
Applications: Ultrafi ne cartridges are designed for critical filtration applications in the 0.5μm range, suitable as prefilters for membranes, rinse water in semiconductor manufacturing, and fine filtration for ultrasonic parts and high-purity solvents.
Ordering Information: The document provides detailed codes for filter medium, nominal length, core material, core cover material, seal material, and end cap configuration, allowing customization based on specific needs.
Technical Data: The document includes flow rate and pressure drop formulae, wound cartridge flow factors for aqueous and non-aqueous fluids, and nominal micrometer ratings for various cartridge designations. It also outlines maximum operating temperatures for different cartridge materials.

Fulflo® Honeycomb™ Cartridges Wound Depth Cartridge Design and Function Wound cartridges provide true depth filtration utilizing hundreds of tapered filtering passages of controlled size and shape. Each layer of roving contributes to true depth filtration by trapping its share of particles. Wound cartridges offer a gradual pressure increase during cartridge life versus surface-type media that have an abrupt flow cutoff when loaded. In addition, the irregular outer layer reduces surface blinding, assuring both longer cartridge life and full cartridge utilization. Ultrafine Wound Depth Cartridges...
