Product catalog summary
Overview: The FB-30J Falling Dart Impact Tester by Paratronix Instruments Co., Ltd. is designed to assess the impact resistance of packaging materials such as plastic films, laminates, and paper. It operates using a free-falling dart mechanism and adheres to ASTM D1709 and ISO 7765-1 standards.
Product Features:
  • Fully automated testing process enhances efficiency by eliminating manual calculations.
  • Offers two test modes: Method A and Method B.
  • Utilizes an electromagnetic dart release mechanism for automatic operation.
Test Standards: The instrument complies with ASTM D1709, ISO 7765-1, and JIS K7124-1 standards.
Test Principle: The test begins by selecting a method and estimating initial mass and weight increment (△m). The process involves adjusting the falling mass based on whether the sample is damaged. Testing continues until a specific number of damaged or undamaged samples is reached, after which the system calculates the impact results automatically.
Technical Specifications:
  • Test Method: Method A (Standard), Method B (Optional)
  • Test Range: Method A: 50-2000g, Method B: 300-2000g
  • Test Accuracy: 0.1g (0.1J)
  • Sample Clamping: Electric Clamping
  • Sample Size: Greater than 150mm x 150mm
  • Power Supply: AC 220V±5% 50Hz
  • Net Weight: 65kg
  • Standard Configuration: Method A Instrument, Micro-printer
  • Optional: Method B, Software, Communication Cable

Test Principle At the beginning of the test, select the test method as the first step, estimate an initial mass and △m value, and then conduct the test. If the first sample is damaged, use the weight △m to reduce the falling mass; if the first sample is not damaged, use the weight △m to increase the falling mass for the next test. In short, the use of weights to reduce or increase the falling mass depends on whether the previous sample is damaged. After 20 samples are tested, calculate the total number of damaged samples. If n is equal to 10, the test is complete; if n is less than 10, continue...
