PARAMOUNT | WASTE AND DUST EXTRACTION Static may be intentionally introduced into a process for static nailing systems or unintentionally introduced as a by product of unreeling or rubbing. Ionisation systems can be fitted to the ducting but they only offer an expensive, isolated solution Static can cause many problems within a waste extraction system. Sticking waste to the separation screen, holding up in a drop chute, or sticking to the inside of ducts. On twin compactor systems, waste hanging over a photocell can cause a premature bin changeover. Paramount have developed a low cost, easy to install solution that eliminates static within a conveying airstream. The latest Static Eliminator utilises a dual water and compressed air mixing head to atomise the water as it enters the airflow within the duct and effectively dissipate the static charge. The fine spray produced now allows the unit to be used in smaller ducts with the added advantage of introducing the mix closer to the source of the static and gives more time for it to mix with the airflow before it meets the separation equipment. Fitting the unit and mixing head is very simple. Each unit comes with a specially designed mounting hoop which enables the unit to be fitted by drilling one hole in the ducting. The hoop is then clamped around the ducting with the mixing head pointing through the hole. Two solenoid valves are interlocked with the waste system’s control panel to turn off the water and air when the waste system is not working. The control unit has individual controls for compressed air and water, allowing the flow characteristics to be finely adjusted to suit each application. For maximum control and flexibility each mixing head requires it’s own control unit. • Compact size, simple to fit. • Easily and accurately adjusted. • Interlocked with system controls. • Low running cost, maintenance free. Sticky Label Manufacture Manufacturers of Sticky Labels will be similarly challenged to those dealing with static. Firstly to get the fast feeding trim into the pick-up-hood and then to ensure the label waste cannot get caught and stuck on various elements along it's journey through the waste conveying system. Paramount design and manufacture bespoke pick-up-hoods and ducting with nonstick coatings to reduce the opportunity for sticky waste to get stuck. To assist further, Paramount are also able to introduce an oil-air mist system close to the waste pickup which can provide a thin oil coating to the contact points of the waste system preventing the sticky waste adhering to parts of the waste system. All Paramount waste extraction equipment carries full CE certification in accordance with EU Directives ©Paramount Waste Extraction Ltd.
