Cyclone-1

I WASTE AND DUST EXTRACTION Cyclonic separation is a method of removing particulates from an air, gas or liquid stream, without the use of filters, through vortex separation. The rotational effects and gravity are used to separate mixtures of solids from the airstream. The cyclone consists of a chamber with an upper circular body, a top tangential inlet and a lower cone. On the axis of the cyclone a cylindrical tube called a thimble, designed for cleaned air exit, extends below the level of the tangential air inlet. The dust laden air is introduced tangentially at the top of the machine, which induces its rotation. It is first spun downwards along the cyclone wall then, as it moves farther from the inlet thimble, it is influenced by this orifice and moves towards the central part of the cyclone along which it is spun back upwards. Dust and particulate matter are centrifuged towards the wall of the cyclone where they are trained towards the bottom of the cyclone by the downward air drift and then discharged into a metal bin. The Paramount Cyclone AC is manufactured from mild steel and can be supplied in thicknesses from 1.2mm to 2mm. The interior of the cyclone is completely smooth and has no spiral guides which would inhibit the separation of light webbing type trims. All Paramount waste extraction equipment carries full CE certification in accordance with EU Directives 98/37/EC,98/79/EC,94/9/EC & 2006/95/EC. ©Paramount Waste Extraction Ltd.
