Applications As a result of its unique construction and the nature of the raw material, VersaMat® Insulation offers an attractive property profile: • Commercially odorless • Exceptional acoustic absorption • Excellent flammability rating • Chemical and allergy free • High flexibility • Mildew and bacteria resistant VersaMat® Insulation is a family of advanced thermal and acoustic insulating materials engineered for application specific performance. The composition of VersaMat® Insulation varies, depending on the application, but generally consists of polymer designed to meet specific thermal, acoustic or structural requirements. In addition to the wide range of fiber blends, VersaMat® Insulation can be combined with films, foils and scrims to further enhance its physical properties. And, VersaMat® products contain no chemical binders. VersaMat® Insulation has excellent flammability ratings and is suited for applications up to 300°F. It is also important to note that VersaMat® Insulation is moldable and is an excellent alternative to traditional molding media. Owens Corning can provide VersaMat® Insulation fabricated into die-cut parts. VersaMat® Insulation provides excellent dimensional stability and exceptional handling characteristics resulting in a broad spectrum of applications.
