Uniconform®

Uniconform®

Product catalog summary
Product Description
Uniconform® is a composite material made from Advantex® glass continuous strands with no binder or stitching yarn. It combines the properties of E-glass and E-CR glass, offering electrical, mechanical, and acid corrosion resistance. It is designed for injection molding, infusion, or wet compression and is compatible with various resins.

Product Reference
Each product is identified by a code, e.g., UM 600-125, where 'UM' stands for Uniconform®, '600' indicates the nominal weight per unit area in g/m², and '125' is the roll width in cm.

Features and Benefits
  • 100% continuous glass fibers with no binder or synthetic core.
  • Translucent panel capabilities and good mechanical properties.
  • Adaptable to complex mold shapes and offers excellent fire retardant properties.
  • Easy to cut and splice with high Z permeability and wet out.

Visual Characteristics and Defects
Possible defects include coarse strands, clusters of fibers, water spots, dirt, and holes. A maximum of 5 defects per 100 lm of roll is allowed.

Technical Characteristics
Uniconform® is available in various surface weights ranging from 450 to 2400 g/m², with a medium solubility in styrene and moisture content below 0.15%.

Product Availability
Standard roll widths are 38 cm, with weights ranging from 450 to 2400 g/m². Roll dimensions and weights vary accordingly.

Packaging
Rolls are wound onto a cardboard tube and wrapped in stretch film. Pallets or wooden crates are used depending on roll width.

Storage
Store in original packaging at 15-35°C and 35-85% humidity. If stored below 15°C, condition the mat for 24 hours before use to prevent condensation.

PRODUCT INFORMATION Uniconform® 450, 600, 750, 900,1200, 1800, 2400 g/m² PRODUCT DESCRIPTION © Corentin Mossière (FR) Uniconform® is made of Advantex® glass continuous strands of random orientation without any binder or any stitching yarn. The Advantex® glass fiber combines the electrical and mechanical properties of traditional E-glass with the acid corrosion resistance of E-CR glass. It is a soft product with a high stretchability designed for injection molding, infusion or wet compression. The continuous strands have a sizing with a coupling agent that makes Uniconform® compatible with Unsaturated Polyester, Vinylester and Epoxy resins.
